🎯

About Us

In 1997 Back to Work 2, a nonprofit workforce development corporation focusing on nurturing careers in tech, was boldly founded to create jobs and enhance job opportunities with the goal of placing one million underutilized and underrepresented citizens in tech careers by 2050.

🚀

Mission

To provide accessible, high-quality training in IT and Media Arts that transforms lives and communities.

💡

Vision

Back to Work 2's hybrid physical and virtual approach blends hands-on learning with digital tools, information technology, video games and film production to prepare individuals for real-world success.

Located in Houston, Texas, the organization currently ventures into new innovations that support foster care youth, veterans, underserved populations and other desiring individuals towards their social economic growth for the development of safer and stronger communities through an Information Technology Apprenticeship, Pre-Apprenticeship and STEAM Boot Camp model plus wraparound supporting services.
In 1999 the organization developed Peer Pressureless Zone, a for-profit motion picture and video game production corporation to assist in securing funding and providing on-the-job training for its clients. Currently it has organized a Companion Humanoid Robotic research, training, production and marketing plant and an Afrocentric Theme and Amusement Park, and is in the process of developing them to further assist in accomplishing its goal.
Our Values: We help cultivate a social spiritual ecosystem of resilience, creativity, and purpose — empowering learners to rise above challenges and achieve their goals.
